2013 Season - Week 24

Trading Day – Is It Pointless?

Last week you saw how you did on a weekly basis but could it have been so different. The analysis is in (and attached). The key gainer was Chief, who made key changes and improved his original team by 96 points. Without Trading Days he would have finished 5th. Aaron would have been the Champion but like Cheryl and Johnnie who would have finished second and third their trades didn’t pan out and they all lost points as a result. Aaron saw his new Trading Day kicker Nick Folk get outscored by the incumbent Jay Feely by 19 points. Cheryl and Johnnie both lost 18 points in their trades. Without Trading Day Andy H would have stayed up as his changes only netted him 5 points while Mark improved by 26. Craig was the only player to not make a change to his drafted team and he was promoted along with Marcus who would not have passed Andy H’s highest season score ever had he not tweaked his record setters. Without Trading Days John would have been promoted but sadly his moves cost him 24 points while Dave G improved by 48 points, the second best gain. All-Time Leading Points Scorer There is no change in the top 7 in the Official All-Time Leading Points scorer with Chief remaining top and Johnnie second, both have now scored over 10,000 points. After his record setting season Marcus moved ahead of John into 8th place. On average Chief has scored 546.5pts per season, with Johnnie (530.7) remaining second and Craig moving into third (528.4) past Wayne who drops to fourth (518.1). Johnnie remains the all-time leading regular season points scorer with Chief still second. On average Johnnie has 478.8 points per regular season, Chief (475.6) is second and Craig (473.6) again passed Wayne (457.5) for third. For the second year running Aaron was the highest climber overtaking Paul, George and David S to move up to 14th (he was 20th after 2011), now if only he’d got his Trading Day changes right. Marcus moved up two spots to 11th place in the Regular Season average rankings after his massive 672 point season. Chief remains the highest post-season scorer with Mark second and Daz third, the only three to have eclipsed 1,000 post season points. . See the attached sheet.
